Clove Privacy Policy
Effective date: September 16, 2026
Clove is a private personal automation assistant operated by Jimmy Morales. This policy explains how Clove accesses, uses, stores, and shares information obtained through Google APIs.
Information Clove accesses
Depending on the automation enabled by the account owner, Clove may access:
- basic Google account information, including the account email address;
- Gmail message content and metadata, such as sender, subject, date, labels, and read status;
- Google Calendar calendars, events, reminders, and related metadata; and
- other Google Workspace data only when the account owner explicitly requests or configures a workflow that requires it.
How information is used
Clove uses Google account data only to provide personal automation requested or configured by the account owner. Examples include identifying actionable email, preparing private summaries, marking surfaced messages as read, reading calendar events, and creating requested calendar entries.
Google account data is not used for advertising, sold, or used to build profiles for unrelated purposes.
Processing and sharing
Clove runs through the account owner's private OpenClaw environment. Information may be processed by the configured AI service when necessary to complete a requested automation. Selected summaries or task candidates may be sent to private Discord channels controlled by the account owner.
Clove does not sell Google user data or disclose it to third parties for advertising.
Clove's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Storage and security
OAuth credentials are stored using the local secure credential storage used by the gog Google Workspace client. Operational outputs may be retained in the account owner's private OpenClaw workspace or private Discord channels. Access is limited to the account owner and the services required to perform configured automations.
Data retention and deletion
Google data is retained only as needed for the personal workflows configured by the account owner. The account owner can remove generated summaries or operational records from the private workspace and Discord at any time.
Google access can be revoked through the Google Account third-party connections page. After access is revoked, Clove can no longer retrieve new Google account data. To request deletion of locally retained Clove data, contact the email address below.
Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated if Clove's integrations or data practices change. The effective date above will be revised when material changes are made.
